New Year's Eve

12/31/2005 8:54PM
SD450. 1/60s, F2.8.

In the backseat of my mom's car, Alison sits between Isaac and Mindy as we drive around Chicago, heading towards Pizza D.O.C. on Lawrence and Western. It was good stuff. Then we headed to Galway Bay to meet up with Barbara and Nick. After a few misunderstandings and half a mile of walking in the cold, we eventually got together with them and rang in 2006 singing along to The Beatles' "Hey Jude." It was really wonderful. After Isaac was almost attacked by an insane hiccuper with a fire exstinguisher, we went back to Alison's and funnelled some more liquor into our blood streams. Then, I slept.

Happy 2006 everyone! Posted by Picasa

Self-Portrait

SD450. ISO 400. 1/40s, F2.8.

So, I finally got a little point and shoot digital camera: the Canon PowerShot SD450 Digital ELPH. It's 5 MP of snapping fun. So, maybe with this little guy I can do a pseudo-documentary of my passing days. A daily photograph.

I also hope to actually put something artistic occasionally, but seeing as I haven't been very artsy or creative lately, the options for such an undertaking are currently limited. Maybe that will change. We all know much else does.

Lindsay Evanoff

Here we see Lindsay, looking intensely out towards Lake of Egypt.
What goes through her mind? Will we ever know for sure?
I met her over the weekend down near Carbondale, Illinois while we
(Isaac Martis, Brian Essig, Lauren Lilly, her brother Ryan and his three friends - of which Lindsay was one) all stayed with Lauren's grandparents. It was a blast of a weekend.

Sunday July 3rd, 2005. Lake of Egypt, IL.

The Birds of Michigan

Here we see a man trying to feed the drifting birds. They looked like kites tied down to the Earth, bouncing around as the wind whips by.
